VICTREX PEEK Polymer Properties:
- High temperature performance - Continuous operating temperature of 260°C (500°F), maintains short term properties at a continuous temperature of 360ºC (680°F)
- Chemical resistance - Chemically resistant to a wide range of chemicals up to 200ºC (392°F)
- Performs under RGD - Highly resistant to Rapid Gas Decompression (RGD), protective against part damage and blow outs
- Hydrolysis performance - Hydrolysis resistance to where mechanical properties are maintained under continuous exposure to water, brine and steam at high temperatures and pressures
- Wear resistant - High wear, abrasion and erosion resistance, including cut through, with low friction and drag in aggressive environments
- Creep and fatigue performance - Excellent strength, stiffness and creep/fatigue maintained over long term, high temperatures and aggressive environments
- Mechanical strength - Excellent dialectic and tensile strength maintained regardless of environment or temperature
- Dimensional stability - Resistant to change under temperature, moisture, chemical attack and physical stress
APTIV™ Films Properties:
- High temperature performance - Heat resistance (UL RTI rating) of 220ºC (428°F), capable of withstanding processing temperatures up to 300ºC (572°F)
- Excellent wear - Inherently lubricious with an Lpv rating of 145 MPa-m/min (69,000 psi-ft/min) without use of lubricants
- Hydrolysis resistance - Resistant to moisture that can damage electrical and dimensional performance, acts as a barrier against liquids and gases
- Broad chemical resistance - Resistant to acids, bases, oxidizing agents, hydrocarbons, salts and steam. Steam resistant up to 200ºC (392°F) after 2,000 hours
- Radiation resistance - Withstands radiation exposure over 109 rads without embrittlement
- High strength and toughness - Resistant to cyclic fatigue, strength maintained well over glass transition temps (Tg)
VICOTE® Coatings Properties:
- Low friction and abrasion - Inherent lubricity, even after continual motion of parts; naturally abrasion-free surface
- Mechanical strength - Hard surface with low particulate generation; resistant to corrosion and provides great electrical insulation; great barrier properties and high load bearing strength
- High temperature performance - Heat resistant up to 260ºC (500ºF)
- Steam and hydrolysis resistant - Excellent resistance to steam over time in high temperature environments; low moisture absorption and highly resistant to hydrolysis
